The 2025 Annual Curators Meeting (ACM) took place in Milan from February 10th to 12th, a fitting tribute to outgoing chair Anna Ambrosini, who calls the city home.
This year’s event brought together 65 attendees representing 33 registries from 25 countries. Notably, the ACM was more interactive than ever, with registry members presenting publications and key outcomes from the TGDOC bursaries. A strong emphasis was placed on strengthening the network, leading to dynamic discussions within subgroups.
A major highlight of this year’s meeting was the introduction of a poster session, held alongside the evening drinks reception. This new addition provided curators with a platform to showcase their registries and the incredible work they do. The session was a resounding success, drawing significant engagement over all three days.
Continuing from last year, the ACM maintained a strong focus on data quality, governance, consent, and ethics—critical issues in the NMD space. Other key discussions covered datasets, synthetic data, funding, and Paladin, reflecting the community’s ongoing commitment to advancing research and best practices.
With a fantastic turnout and valuable contributions from all participants, we extend our sincere thanks to the TGDOC chairs, curators, subgroup leads, and patient representatives who made this event a success. A special appreciation goes to Anna Ambrosini for her six years of dedicated service on the TGDOC committee.
We look forward to welcoming even more curators at next year’s ACM!
